Device Integration Engineer



The Device Integration Engineer will focus on design, fabrication and characterization aspects of a product line.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop product requirements and specifications in coordination with research and development to meet customer requirements
  • Design lithography photomasks
  • Define process requirements and set up specs
  • Work with Cleanroom and set up process documentation
  • Set up process control charts and determine process capability
  • Work closely with the fabrication and test groups and oversee product manufacturing and characterization
  • Establish process documentation and training
  • Coordinate failure analysis efforts with the FA team
  • Assist process engineers and technicians in process development
  • Apply engineering and statistical data handling knowledge to solve sophisticated optoelectronic device processing issues
  • Qualifications and Requirements:

  • An active hands-on approach to technology development is critical to this position
  • Possess good oral and written communication skills, good organizational skills, and the ability to work with limited supervision
  • Highly motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, and dedicated
  • Work well in a team oriented environment
  • Experience and Technical Skills Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in product or manufacturing development in a hi-tech environment
  • Knowledge of semiconductor optoelectronic devices like VCSELs and PINs
  • Experience in optoelectronic or microelectronic device fabrication and characterization
  • Knowledge of semiconductor optoelectronic devices
  • Have demonstrated ability to read, understand and write technical procedures, specification, and training materials
  • Education, License, Certification Required:

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • US Citizenship required - Applicant may be receiving security clearances
  • Physical Requirements:

  • Physical health must be sufficient to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position
  • Reporting Relationship:

  • Reports directly to Cleanroom Manager
