Job Title:
Human Resources Generalist
OptiComp Corporation is seeking a results-oriented Human Resources Generalist at our Corporate office Zephyr Cove, NV.
As a member of the HR Team, the HR Generalist will have a variety of responsibilities including, but are not limited to:
- Coordinates candidate’s pre-employment activities, as well as facilitates the new hire on-boarding process including I-9 verification, background checks, paperwork, offer letters, etc.
- Involved in the creation of compensation agreements as well as tracking new comp plans
- Maintenance of EEO and I-9 forms, including annual filing of EEO-1 reports
- Coordinates employee payroll changes (time off, pay & status changes, etc.) and maintains back-up documentation
- Benefits Administration – including auditing of bills, participation in annual renewals, open enrollment, benefits enrollments & terminations, COBRA & FSA administration, tracking of employee contributions, etc.
- Processes all 401(k) requests (loans, enrollment packets, contribution changes, rollouts and withdrawals), including transmitting contributions after payroll and participating in annual audit
- Contributes towards compliance with local, state, federal, Workers' Compensation and various statutes by keeping abreast of legislation and incorporating changes/updates into company policies and procedures
- Handle all employment and wage verifications of past and present employees, and wage garnishment issues
- Handles termination letters and packets, ensuring they are received according to state law
- Responds and handles all unemployment claims
- Helps HRD with maintain Sales Tracking and issues warnings to sales staff
- Overall HR Administration
- Develops and updates HR intranet site
- Administer employee recognition program and coordinates HR related functions
- Special HR projects as assigned
Job Requirements:
- BA Degree in Business or related field
- Minimum 2 – 4 years Human Resources experience
- Minimum 1 year of benefits administration experience
- The ability to interact with professionals at all levels is important
- Strong PC skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
- Strong organization and administrative skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
- Ability to remain flexible in a creative and challenging work environment
