Junior Process Technician



Job Summary:

The Junior Process Technician will focus on the many steps necessary for manufacturing semiconductor optoelectronics devices using photolithography, wet and dry etching, thin films, metallization and oxidation. The devices will be made in compliance with national and international standards for space applications.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, R&D, and manufacturing groups to meet cost, quality, and delivery goals
  • Work in a “cleanroom environment”
  • Inventory of materials needed in the cleanroom
  • Capable of working with chemicals and have good dexterity
  • Measure and record data on the equipment logs
  • Follow semiconductor cleanroom protocol for cleanliness, safety and general operations
  • Qualifications and Requirements:

  • An active hands-on approach to technology development is critical to this position
  • Possess good oral and written communication skills, good organizational skills, and the ability to work with limited supervision
  • Highly motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, and dedicated
  • Work well in a team oriented environment
  • Experience and Technical Skills Required:

  • Basic Electronics background needed, chemistry and physics a plus.
  • Capable of reading and understanding technical procedures and specifications
  • Basic Microsoft Office 2007 skills required
  • Have demonstrated ability to read, understand and write technical procedures, specification, and training materials
  • Education, License, Certification Required:

  • Associates Degree
  • US Citizenship required - Applicant may be receiving security clearances
  • Physical Requirements:

  • Physical health must be sufficient to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position
  • Reporting Relationship:

  • Reports directly to: Senior Process Technicians and indirectly to Cleanroom Manager
