Job Title:
Junior Quality Engineer
OptiComp Corporation is currently seeking a motivated individual to fill the role of Junior Quality Engineer. His or her responsibilities will include:
- Assist in creating Quality Management System documentation
- Analyze existing design documentation and create QMS entries for them
- Maintain the QMS requirements for engineering and manufacturing
- Review and update QMS procedure documents
- Assist in creating and maintaining QMS documents for new products as they are created
- Meet goals/timelines as necessary
- Interface with managers and directors to build awareness of process
Job Requirements:
- Education: Preferably M.S. in a technical field (Chemistry, Materials Engineering, or related discipline) but would consider a B.S.
- Extensive knowledge of electronic and optical and mechanical properties of materials is necessary with a solid background of semiconductor device physics
- Experience in materials processing, semiconductor fabrication and characterization techniques a plus
- Must be able to work in a team, be a proactive self-starter, and exhibit a high degree of attention to detail
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent technical writing skills
- Demonstrated problem solving ability
- Be familiar with Six Sigma techniques
- ASQ certification a plus
- Must be a US Citizen
