Process Engineer IV
Department Name: Manufacturing Operations
Job Summary:
The Process Engineer IV will focus on the development of manufacturing processes for optoelectronic devices and implementation of statistical process control throughout manufacturing.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, R&D, and fabrication to meet quality and delivery goals
- Mentor engineers and technicians in process and product development
- Develop product requirements and specifications in coordination with research and development to meet customer requirements
- Apply engineering and statistical data handling knowledge to solve sophisticated optoelectronic device processing issues
- Develop equipment level process control requirements and implement lean manufacturing practices
- Monitor and thoroughly document development efforts to ensure conformance to design
- Lead process development efforts from proof-of-concept to product realization
Experience and Technical Skills Required:
- An active hands-on approach is critical to this position
- Possess good oral and written communication skills, good organizational skills, and the ability to work with limited supervision
- Highly motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, and dedicated
- Work well in a team oriented environment
- 7+ years of experience in product or manufacturing development in a hi-tech environment
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures
- Knowledge of semiconductor optoelectronic devices
- Experience in optoelectronic or microelectronic device fabrication and characterization
- Have demonstrated ability to read, understand and write technical procedures, specification, and training materials
Education, License, Certification Required:
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Ability to obtain DoD security clearance
