Director of Engineering OptiComp is seeking an innovative, motivated, goal-oriented optoelectronic Director of Engineering to manage device engineering and development. The Director of Engineering will lead a team of engineers in the development and production of integrated epitaxially based optoelectronic devices for ultra-wide bandwidth data networking and optical interconnect applications. Relevant experience includes semiconductor lasers, photodetectors, modulators, optical amplifiers and microresonator devices, with particular emphasis on WDM-related component technologies. This individual should be experienced in various aspects of device development including design, modeling, fabrication and testing. The person filling this position must be hands on, well organized, a team leader with experience leading and directing programs. This position will supervise and direct the efforts of a team of engineers. Job Description: Create and maintain a detailed product development plan with milestones Participate in creating product design and definition Provide leadership, hands on guidance and mentoring to the engineering team Attract and recruit the highest quality engineers and scientists Identify, evaluate and structure relationships with outside labs and packaging vendors Hold to specific product deliverables and timelines Requirements: Ph.
