OptiComp Corporation is a fast-growing, technology-driven, pre-IPO engineering firm located at Lake Tahoe, Nevada. As a prime federal contractor, OptiComp is committed to developing optoelectronic technologies that support the next generation of dense, high-speed, optical switching and data processing systems for military and commercial applications. OptiComp is seeking an analytical, highly motivated and versatile device testing engineer to participate in the development and production of novel integrated optoelectronic devices for broadband data networking and high density optical interconnect applications. Basic knowledge of semiconductor lasers, photodetectors, modulators, optical amplifiers and WDM-related component technologies is desirable, but intellectual ability and the eagerness to learn are also valued. This individual will participate in different projects involving various aspects of device testing, and will collaborate with other device design, processing, epitaxy, packaging and network engineers in an interactive team environment. The person filling this position must be hands on, multi-tasking, well organized, and able to work alone or in groups.
