Optoelectronic Device Engineer
OptiComp is seeking an innovative, motivated, goal-oriented optoelectronic device engineer to work with a team of engineers in the development and production of novel integrated optoelectronics devices for ultra-wide bandwidth data networking and optical interconnect applications. Relevant experience includes, but is not limited to, semiconductor lasers, photodetectors, modulators, optical amplifiers, and microresonator devices, with particular emphasis on WDM-related component technologies. This individual will be involved in various aspects of device development including design, modeling, fabrication, and testing, and will collaborate with other device, processing, epitaxy, packaging, and network engineers in an interactive team environment.

Requirements:

M.S. or Ph. D. in Electrical Engineering, Material Science or a related field

At least 5 years industrial experience, with a proven track record in device development

Extensive knowledge of semiconductor optoelectronic devices

Significant experience in device fabrication and optoelectronic device characterization

Proven team leader with an entrepreneurial attitude

An active hands-on approach to technology development

Excellent communication skills

US Citizenship required
