OptiComp Corporation is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to work with other engineers in carrying out end-to-end fabrication and characterization of mode size converters and other optoelectronic devices. The task involves process development, in addition to operating processing equipment and modifying process steps and sequences. The engineer will have a multitude of challenging responsibilities and performs his activities in a multidisciplinary, highly technical environment. The candidate should have extensive hands-on microfabrication experience working in a research or manufacturing environment. The candidate’s processing experience should include photolithography, wet and dry etch processing, thin film deposition, cleaning and handling of semiconductor wafers, in addition to some familiarity with metrology and analytical tools such as ellipsometry, profilometry, optical and electron microscopy. Key Activities will include: Requirements: The successful applicant will be qualified in a relevant technical discipline, having a basic knowledge and understanding of science and be able to adapt to a wide range of different tasks and quickly learn new techniques and procedures.
